What To Expect

First Visit

During your first visit you will have a brief but thorough consultation with your Doctor. He will sit down and discuss your unique problem seeking to discover when it started, what the symptoms are, how it originated, and where it’s affecting your daily life.

After the consultation your Doctor will perform an exam that includes, muscle checks, pertinent orthopedic tests, palpation of the spine, and a postural examination. The purpose of this exam is to find the cause of the problem so that it can be corrected.

f necessary the Doctor may take x-rays to see the spine’s position. The expression, “a picture is worth a thousand words” holds true for chiropractic care as well. By seeing the position of the spine the Doctor will be able to compare it to the normal position and make corrections to realign the spine and alleviate pain.

Second Visit

During your second visit the Doctor will review any important findings from the exam and x-rays. He will help you to understand the cause of your unique problem and provide you with a solution. During this report your doctor will explain your recommended treatment plan. He will also discuss any insurance benefits that you may have and explain any additional costs to you such as deductibles and co-payments. He will also answer any questions you may have.

After your report you may choose to get your first chiropractic adjustment. Before every adjustment patients get to relax on one of our special tables that provide gentle vibration and massage. Your Doctor will then adjust any areas of your spine that need to be corrected. If necessary he may provide you with other therapies like deep heat, spinal exercises, or myofascial release.

Regular Visits

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the one before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.

We recognize that your time is valuable so we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.

After the initial two visits, a typical office visit may require just five to ten minutes. Once the groundwork has been laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.
